Every once in a while there is an album you want to hear again and again. This time it is the album “Acoustic Love” from Joonie, a more than talented singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. It contains twelve fascinating tracks about love and relationships.

The tracks are not only fascinating because of Joonie’s beautiful voice but also because of the fantastic rhythms, the wonderful sounds, the meaningful lyrics and the vibrant energy they generate. You will dance, you will cry, you will sing, you will fly when you get in the groove with Joonie.

Contemporary soul music, r&b and hiphop are creatively combined by Joonie into a new and refreshing sound. You immediately notice that Acoustic Love is a brilliant album when you hear the first track “So Fly”. But there is more beautiful music to come on the album that will get you flabbergasted. The love serenade called “Fresh(MyTeam)” is so addictive, you will play it over and over. Then you have “Delilah” which might become an evergreen like “Me And Mrs. Jones”. A powerful song with an amazing hiphop beat is “You Got Me”. In the title track “Acoustic Love” although fresh and new we salute Roberta Flack and Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell. One of the loveliest tracks is “Always” with that African rhythm guitar, the organ and the steamy and teasing bass. The hottest and sweetest r&b tracks are “Make It Last” and “Lay It Down”. “SO FLY”  is JOONIE’S first Music Video from the “Acoustic Love” CD.  The video was shot in Beverly Hills and around LA in May.  “SO FLY” also features a very special guest appearance from fellow musician and long time friend, “Elliot Yamin”.

June is Black Music Month, celebrating and recognizing the contributions of America’s Black Music Artists. It’s not just something made up, it is a legitimate Presidential Proclamation since 1979.

According to JOONIE, “I love and appreciate all types of Music. I grew up listening to just about everything. The beauty of Black Music is it encompasses so many genres.  The influence, the artists and the musicians have helped shape not only American Music, but Music around the globe. “

“So Fly” – The Music Video

Today, JOONIE, his Film Crew and a Special Guest will begin Day 1 of filming for the “So Fly” Music Video. This will be the first video from the  “Acoustic Love” release.  We will keep you posted on the behind the scenes updates and look for JOONIE’s Live Tweets on Location.

It’s no secret to any JOONIE fan, that JOONIE loves Japan. It is one of his favorite places on the globe and he has performed there several times while on tour.

This week, JOONIE is getting some of that love right back. He was featured on the Japanese Blog – Chocolate Factory 2. While the article is in Japanese, a quick drop of the URL into the Google Translater should do the trick.
