JOONIE sings Stevie Wonder and John Legend!

June is Black Music Month, celebrating and recognizing the contributions of America’s Black Music Artists. It’s not just something made up, it is a legitimate Presidential Proclamation since 1979.

According to JOONIE, “I love and appreciate all types of Music. I grew up listening to just about everything. The beauty of Black Music is it encompasses so many genres.  The influence, the artists and the musicians have helped shape not only American Music, but Music around the globe. “

It’s cool to listen to current music, but I encourage my fans not to tune out to the music that came before “what’s hot now”. This month, remember the music you grew up on. Go back and listen to the songs your parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents used to listen to and let me know which musical treasures you discover.

If you love my music and my style, you are hearing the influence of so many great musicians who have inspired and paved the way for me, like Stevie Wonder, John Legend, D’Angelo, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, Nat King Cole, The Isley Brothers and so many more. “

For all of the great musicians who have blessed all of us with their talent, and given our voices a chance to be heard… “Thank You.”  And to all my Fans, I thank you for your support and for giving me the opportunity to share my voice with you.  ~ JOONIE

Inspired by a Fan request, to do more “A Capella” videos… here is JOONIE singing a tribute to two of his many favorite Artists, Mr. Stevie Wonder and Mr. John Legend. Enjoy!
